Just gauging the interest levels in this.

Si has done a bit of testing for it and a few of us have run a few test laps around a few of the circuits.

Could run 2 or 3 teams dependent on interest and car choice.

so far i`ve found out the gtr with v8 engine is quick, will be a good lobby car due to it`s immense power delivery and will surprise a few. the aston is the "leaderboard" car, very quick and consistent even with the most basic tune, really suffers from lack of gearbox upgrade. the 458 could be quick if can be tamed, i`m not very good at tuning mid engine. the sls is easy to drive and well planted but just seems a bit laborious and is slightly off the pace.

I'm interested in the gtr or the g-word

My thoughts so far

Gallardo feels quick but isn't.
458 quick but just too twitchy to be competitive and get consistent lap times.
V8 GTR v good car will blitz people on the straights.
ZR1 feels quick and planted.
Lexus planted but sloooooow.
Vanquish leaderboard car so would be a bit loathed to choose it.

Between corvette and GTR for me at the minute

Tried the R8 this morning, good car

got the liner to run consistent low 9s at silverstone, also got another build for it that can achieve low 8s.

will be on tonight bout 7.30.

I've entered a team today under the name Pixel Motorsport Team Kitty using the Nissan If anyone wants to join let me know and i'll update the entry...obviously you can tell by the name what the paint theme is so I will fully understand if no-one joins and I will revert to a privateer

...and, I prefer TORA so I wont be changing my TORA vinyls to TMRA unless I have to in the rules lol

Are any tunes shared?

I know Si's got a few builds and tunes for the GTR and Vette and believe Lou may have a few for both also, will check that they can be shared first as they are not my "intellectual property" to give away   

Sod it, I'm going in the R8

right so had an hour or so with the zr1 & gtr running back to back. the zr1 is easier to drive and very good in the corners, the gtr needs a bit more concentration and could be better in the corners with track specific tunes. the zr1 would benefit from a gearbox upgrade and is a good all round car for most of the tracks, but the gtr has more scope in the builds/tunes and although only slightly slower than the zr1 on a few tracks it excels far more at others. the gtr also has the back up of that raw speed. it`s a really tough choice and i still can`t make my mind up, prob 65% 35% in favour of the gtr as i just think it`ll be a better lobby car.

the aston is just too easy, put a very basic tune on it and it was right on the pace without really trying.

Ah damn you Si, that gtr tune is awesome!

I can post mine up if u like, but on evidence so far my tunes appear quicker than Si's in my hands but slower for everyone else Personally, my vote would be to use Si's tunes as the times speak for themselves its just my poor driving skill that cant get the most out of them Im going to try those settings above Si in a bit and lap until my fingers bleed

So are we all going to end up in the GTR then? If so, how many teams have we got?

Yes think we will be all in the GTR going to have one final test tonight GT, as for teams I'm hoping we can all be 1 big team no matter what paints or team names we have.

Are we going with pink and silver paint scheme?

think best thing tonight for testing will be to try some practice rolling starts and simulation damage racing to see how the cars are with those settings and how they perform in race situation.
