After that report from Baz I'm glad I missed it, done with tora now I think. Tbh I could have raced tonight but had no real incentive to sacrifice some time on the sofa!

I am going to try and persevere with the Nissan if poss. Did a couple of laps last nite at Seb and got a 2:11.5...tink that's approx 3secs off the pace? Need to compare it with V8 build from before to get proper idea. If i can it to within half second of V8 pace I'll stick with it if Baz agrees?

All i did Gaz was remove the engine swap. It automatically removes all the engine upgrades then. Rest of the build is the same as before but there's like 1/2 a pi which lets u put a race clutch on. I know its not any benefit, but it was available so i used it Wink Rest of build is all race and full width tyres. Cannot do any engine mods with the V6

Don't you need engine mods to put it above 550hp? 542hp as standards Lou

Don't think I'll be wasting anymore time on TORA they are a complete joke. The fact that none of the elitists have even commented on the changes says a lot to me. Would love worm to put a V6 gtr tune together that still kicks the astons arse!

think i`ll be missing the next two races anyway but not sure if i`d have supported such a farce of a championship after this latest balls up. can`t see how a "championship" is even plausible now with such a big change at this stage.

i`m actually not too fussed as after everyone dropped out the and everyone realised the setup was a complete botch job the whole thing should have been scrapped.

MSA............

 Laughing

shame really as this seems to have had a massive impact on tora`s standing as serious series organiser, i still don`t see how a series can be organised on fp5 as it`s still no where near good enough.

Will do a bit of scouting around a few of the other organisations this week and see what's they've got going give us a few more options.

Wow, just looked at the race results list.....

Round 1 - 59 racers
Round 2 - 50 racers
Round 3 - 41 racers
Round 4 - 24 racers

Says a lot really!

And unsurprisingly there was only one GTR in the list from last nights racing and that was Lou!

Yep i did...was determined to stick with the GTR even with the engine nerf. Kinda sucked though cus my net threw a wibbly and i had to miss the 1st race restarting my router/xbox numerous times (kept switching Nat to strict) Persevered though cus i really tried hard to get that damn GTR to post competitive times, think my fastest lap was only a second or so off pole cheers Shame i didn't do my best in qually and then had to start at the back for race 2 anyway after missing race 1 Rolling Eyes

PS. As you guys all know, if the pass isn't the easiest in the world i tend to hold position, well, if you fancy watching me pull the lariest pass ive ever done (i know u guys do better but for me it was brave) watch lap 3 of the replay on my sf. I was v v v determined to make up some positions Wink My finger was pulsing on the brakes trying to stop them keep locking up...i really do think trying to sort them out is the GTRs biggest headache Rolling Eyes

Post  Guest on Sat May 24 2014, 01:39

Hiya, you guys will prob never had heard of me and yes i snuck in here as im looking for a team or at least a bunch of ppl to race with as right now im lonely, lol

i race on Virtual Motorsports and have done for the last few months after finding TORA a little un-organised and have found its actually better, they have just as many series but they are sorted better and on race nights i've not had a problem yet, of course you get the odd one that starts 15 mins late due to getting everyone on lobby but once going its all good.

I'm looking for a FM5 team to race there so im not all on my own, lol.

im not fast but i drive clean and fair and am willing to learn, put me down as a rookie and no i will not make the tea.

Spa race report...

Quali 8th

A lobby race 1, running 5th and internet dropped out mid race so another dnf Rolling Eyes

Race 2. Couldn't get connected back into A lobby (multiple resets yet just wouldn't work) so Aero suggested trying B lobby which i got into straight away? Had to start 12th (last) finished 3rd so at least i got to the end and had some good racing Smile

I was kinda getting mad at my own internet again, seeing as that's 2 events in a row ive been running ok and had internet kicking me out, but im wondering now if its a conflict with someone seeing as i got into the other lobby with no issues at all?
