Re: Race 3 : Indianapolis GP
I've done a fair few laps now best is 1.40.3xx seem to be constantly hitting 140.9 to 141.7. While I'm on here are people cutting the several corners that don't dirty your lap? ie the first right hand corner, where you can get quite far onto the grass? Will this corner cutting be acceptable in the race or not?

The only corner I "cut" is the last left hander where you have to, but that's only two wheels across the curb. Consistent full on corner cutting is not normally accepted in the league but as you can't save multiplayer replays in FM5 there is no way to place inquiries anymore so cheating is harder to crack down on.
Gaz is king of the corner cutters so will probably correct me on this.

Just was t sure if that first right hander after the straight is actually classed as corner cutting as there's no curb there and the grass doesn't seem to slow you down!

Re: Race 3 : Indianapolis GP
To be fair I have tried that root and tend to outshoot the next corner if I cut across the grass. If you're near the xbone, have a look at my replay in rivals as it's of my fastest MX5 time.

Just watched it, you do exactly what I do on that first corner two wheel just onto the grass, I just didn't know if that was classes as corner cutting

Ah right, yeah two wheels is always acceptable. I thought you were talking about all 4 wheels over which is classed as "clean" on quite a few tracks on FM5, especially Spa.
That lap is also a bit untidy in places, reckon there's an extra .3 or .4 to be made by taking a few corners differently.

Well that's interesting, just been hot lapping against your ghost cobra and it's opened up a couple of different racing lines to me a d just run a 39.9 seems like your final drive must be different to mine as you have a little more top end speed. Crazy been testing the last couple of days and couldn't do a sub 1.40 then in 3 laps today after racing your ghost I crack it!

You're welcome
Seriously though I've found a lot of this track is down to gear selection on the corner section, you've got to pick the optimum moment to drop it down from 4th to 3rd after the middle straight.

Re: Race 3 : Indianapolis GP
Not sure swapping and changing builds is within the rules. Builds r not being changed until after Indy so i understand that for tonight there can be no 'taking aero off'?
Anyway, roll call for tonight:
21. LucyLou
2. Simon
3. Cobra
4. Heavenly
5. Trev
