Hi guys im Trevor from N.Ireland , been playing racing games for a while but never seem to get better , would say average driver , played mostly on PC ( iRacing , Rfactor2 ) for a few months , Forza 5 is my 1st experience at the Forza franchise , and so far seems good , lets just hope they sort out the Multi player party / league functions sooner rather than later.

It'll come. It may take a couple of months even. When I joined Pixel Motorsport I thought I was already at my limit... but it's amazing what you can find when you turn off a few "aids" off and then add to that, just simply playing and racing with the same people weekly. You learn a lot. I did.   

I think the auto transmission is my biggest fault. I need to get to the point that I dont use it.

Will definitely help. You can change quicker, which helps acceleration, particularly off the grid. Also you can rev it out a bit more since Forza's Ai seems to short shift.
Having said that, it is great for short shifting in the more powerful cars on long corners, so it can act as your own form of traction control.
