ive some videos about people doing banger racing on forza around small tracks of about 20-30 laps, i would think that we would need to keep it low class as to much speed will be unpredictable.

We could do as part of a series or maybe a Friday fun night or something, to mix it up a bit.

Any Thoughts?

think you could be onto something with this steve. E class RWD with max ride height, full accel diff, low brake pressure, no aero etc. on short tracks like camino short, ladera short and benchmark oval.

Hmmmm. Potentially. When you say banger racing though, do you mean bashing is allowed?

I'm not against bashing, but I could see it ending up like a game of tag instead of a race. I do like the short track idea though. Have always wanted to use the smaller tracks some more.

Banger racing as in race till your cars is completely busted on benchmark circuit with full/limited damage.

Or using old "bangerl cars pre 1980's say and racing them normally with a little push to pass.

unfortunately demo derby in fm4 just can`t be done with damage. we`ve tried and only way to do it is by ruling that you`re out if you end up on your roof.

with simulation damage it kind of encourages non full on contact ala demo derby but you still can spin people out and take taps/knocks yet still manage to race.

could always do tag (keep it) afterwards.

Surely that is what a real demo derby is......disable your opponents until you are the last man standing Twisted Evil 

I am sure there is a way will have a look tonight.

We have tried before Tony,  with no damage limited damage and full damage,  no damage we had to rule the winner as the car that hasn't rolled onto its roof, limited damage the cars never got so you couldn't drive them so it took an eternity to find a winner and with full damage the race lasted about 23 seconds Very Happy

Settings are Game type Custom-Damage Cosmetic-Collisions Always on Advanced settings-Scoring type-Keep it Clean Bigger is Better Yes then decide how long you want the race Surprised

If we could, after the Superstars Series tonight could we do some banger racing/testing stuff. 20 mins after for building the cars.

Car Build Rules:


  • Any car can be used but it MUST be RWD and be in E Class


Upgrades Required:


  • Roll Cage, Race Brakes, Race Anti Roll and Race Suspension.


Track rules and stuff:


  • Small Circuits


  • 3 x 10 minute rounds (timed races)


  • Limited Damage


Race Rules:


  • No Contact for the first lap (contact starts on the start of the 2nd lap)



  • Light slams, shunts, scrapes, bumps and spins allowed. (NO crashes like cat and mouse)



  • Winner is determined by the distance driven.


Any Thoughts?
