I hope to, so as I can stay in touch with the title, but MotoGP is on from Indy, and my niece and nephew (read as "a whirlwind of noise and action") are here for the weekend, so it may be difficult.

It's really close at the moment especially were different cars do good at different tracks. For example if you drop the worst points result for 1 track of each of us in the current top 4 the standings areGreenfly750 wrote:I hope to, so as I can stay in touch with the title, but MotoGP is on from Indy, and my niece and nephew (read as "a whirlwind of noise and action") are here for the weekend, so it may be difficult.

Re: Season 6 Race 8 Nurburgring
Thanks Gaz
I would like to say i thouroughly enjoyed last nite but i would be lying
Tbh i was shocked at how aggressive some of the racing has become...not illegal...just quite aggressive. I appreciate that everyone wants to defend their positions etc, but some of the driving standards to me was way over the top. If someone attempts a legitimate move up the inside (not a stoopid lunge) then what is the harm in allowing just a bit of room? Taking an aggressive 'I'm not letting u past attitude and taking 'the line'' is either going to take the person behind out or yourself out as well. This then causes SI's, bad feeling and naff atmosphere It genuinly shocked me last nite...for me in racing, sometimes, just sometimes you have to give someone some room, not run them off the track just cus they dared to attempt to overtake you

Re: Season 6 Race 8 Nurburgring
Have to say I agree lucy the same thing happen to me tbh they go up the inside of you then run wide and basically push you out the way it is getting a bit behind with certain few.
When I go up the inside of someone on the track I always do my best go tight in and leave plenty of room for them so that you both go around the corner/section no problem. Of course sometimes mistakes happen ie lockup of breaks etc but for example gaz and simon when they overtake they are very good at timing it right leaving plenty of room to make it a save overtake to keep it fun.

Re: Season 6 Race 8 Nurburgring
Although it does help when people call it if they are going for an overtake, sometimes I "aggressively" shut the door because I honestly don't know there's someone there.LucyLou217 wrote:Thanks Gaz

Also I think people are actually underestimating how poor the Ferrari's are around corners and under braking, if I brake a fraction later than I should I either lock up or run wide, it's not an "aggressive" move it's having no control over the car, but if I don't brake late to make moves then I'm not going to get anywhere and I may as well give up on racing.
I think if people do have issues with other racers driving styles this needs to be brought out into the open and discussed in a sensible manner as I've noticed a few subtle digs appearing lately. I know last night there were a few against me and obviously Scott's not so subtle dig at Paul was there for all to hear. All I'm saying is be open and calmly discuss it so we don't start arguments and have fall outs.
At the end of the day we are a bunch of mates having a bit of fun and it is just a computer game.

Re: Season 6 Race 8 Nurburgring
My post isn't a singled out dig at you GT, it was a general observation. My comment is aimed at where does 'defending ones position' end and rude racing begin. I agree with the bunch of mates racing comment entirely and that's why i stopped racing. Sometimes in the spirit of racing and also friendly sportspersonship there should be a point where we accept the move is done. If a car is alongside on the outside or inside it has to be acceptable that you both share the track equally at that point. What i saw was cars on the inside being turned into or the ones on the outside being run off the track That is racing maybe, but not 'bunch of mates' racing. I think what irks me the most is the culprit for running off/turning into people...when their aggresion pays off they happily carry on and leave the poor person in the dirt or, if it backfires against them then they start whining and causing arguments at dirty moves That is some serious having cake and eating it going on there and tbh is just a huge pisstake Basically, if anyone wants to be aggresive and take 'their' line then accept the consequences in good grace. If we wanna not have consequences then leave some space please

Re: Season 6 Race 8 Nurburgring
I didn't say your post was aimed at me Lou but I did have a couple of digs aimed my way last night and especially at Sedona in the Clio's and Camino in the Sports Car, and I know I'm probably one of the biggest defenders on the track (apparently the reason Scott is in the Ferrari). My reasoning for that is because I'm not as good a driver as everyone else and it's my way of being competitive.
Last night I annoyed Si by defending a line once and then moving back to the racing line (allowed in F1) but then I had Baz dancing all over the track down the pit straight trying to break my tow (that's a lot more than one move). I also had Baz fairly overtake me and I gave him space, but then when I went to battle back I got a nice clip to my rear which lost my traction and that was battle over, that wasn't aggressively closing the door and it may have been accident but if it was deliberate it wasn't aggressive but still ruined my chances. BUT I still enjoyed all of last night, it was good fun and I enjoyed seeing Baz make the lunge into turn 3 and back out every time.
Anyway I'll stop talking now before I get kicked out the club

lunge = calculated thrusts to disguise the momentous pass that was inevitably comingCobraGT04 wrote:Doesn't matter when you're admin Bazochilbaz wrote:me? Never. Deny everything. I enjoyed that race gt, it was fun
