Actually, on re-looking at the list again i really can't imagine that's anywhere near finished. Its a lot shorter list than fm4 and surely they will endeaver to ensure that fm5 is better than its predecessors in EVERY way

To be honest, I'm fairly unimpressed with what I have seen of FM5 thus far. Yes the graphics are brill, but that seems to be the only thing that has improved. There will be a handful of new circuits too I suppose, but other games still have better track options. The car list is somewhat mundane, and why does every car I have seen so far spit flames on every gear change. Doesn't seem realistic. The direct feed footage I've seen so far is either driven by a 7 year old or the AI, which seems to have learnt bugger all about racing lines and throttle/brake control after 10 years of practice.  
I would rather sacrifice some of the graphic quality, in favour more diverse circuits, a more diverse and characterful selection of cars, and an AI that actually knows how to drive. There's been a lot of hubbub about the V8 Supercars. If they're going to give us one or two circuits from the V8 series, then give them all to us. The same with the Indy cars and the DTM's (if the ever appear). Don't jump up and down going "hey hey, look at me" only to deliver a soggy kipper. Do it right. Do it once.

In some ways I'm quite glad I can't afford the One at launch since it's made up my mind for me. Needless to say, when it comes down in price, I'll probably still end up buying one along with FM5.

Buuuuuuuuuuut, this is just my opinion.  

carolyn petit who`s done that piece is everything that`s wrong with forza5. i think this extract sums up what i`m trying to point out, And because it took that moment to celebrate that emotional connection we can form with cars, something I can understand and appreciate, I immediately felt like Forza 5 was a game that was catering as much to someone like me as to someone who reads each issue of Road & Track.

basically it proves that forza5 is a dumbed down game for the casual gamer and not the actual fan base who "reads each issue of road & track"  

I don't know Si, i do kinda get what shes saying although maybe i am the casual gamer. I would say that i am a petrol head to a degree but not to the degree of 'subscribing to specialist press' I still take the game very seriously and admire t10 ability to open up its appeal to people like me. I still try very hard when online to respect the hardcore sim fans. My point is kinda this, i agree t10/microsoft make mistakes with this franchise by trying to make it appeal to the 'casuals' but...there are sims out there, but ultimately none of us really play them, we stick to Forza. So, just maybe, its the casual elements that actually draw us to it? Ironically, in my opinion its the largest sim element of the game that irritates me the most. In RL in most forms of motorsport 1 car is the best in its discipline, i think forza replicates that too well and it creates lobbies that appear more like 1make series We've seen that in our own series whereas we try and have variations but 1 car normally appears to be the one to have Must admit though that i would rather it be like that than having a VTS keep up with a Ferrari just cus its got a turbo that we see in some games lol

I personally have no problem buying DLC.

At the end of the day its a money making business and with the sucsess of COD everyone follows.

Looks like the digital edition of forza that I have preordered with my commemorative console comes with day one dlc car pack

has anyone got the car pass? do you have to wait for the game to be launched before they are available? don`t want to miss out on any content thats available

not got it or even looked at it really. all i know is it`s about $50.

They brought an xbone into work today, it's really ugly but quiet. They had forza 5 on the go, and I ask if I could have a go, funny thing was, they ask if I've play before, a little I answered.
The controller is mega it's superb the rumbling through the brake button when you brake is a nice touch, the game is smooth and the noise is leaps and bounds from forza 4, but the game is generally the same as 4 which is no bad thing.
I asked about why so little content, especially having no nurburgring, its a surprise and we'll have to wait and see it, it's gonna blow gt6 version of the nurburgring out of the water was his reply, mine was, yeah but were gonna have to pay for it!
I still believe that I made the right decision by not buying it, now I've seen it first hand, it's looks mega and sounds mega but it hasn't moved the game on, as the lad said its a launch title, hence the little content, but forza6 will be the benchmark on the xbone, so I'll wait for that.

And he's bringing a PS4 in tomorrow yeah baby

There is a cracking chip shop open till 1am in town that does naan bread doner kebabs  

    

Part of me regrets cancelling it, but as the wheel won't work I just can't justify it, but the lad did say that once fanatec solve the connection and update the firmware, the wheel will work just fine, come on fanatec, BTW Gaz there's a 24 hour mcdonalds 2 mins from my house!
