making forza video

just wondering if anyone has used the video suit thing in fm4 to make/edit a forza film. i`ve watched a fair few fm4 drift videos and they`re edited really well and then the tora one chris posted up got me wondering how hard it`d be to put a short film together.
i`ve never even opened the video suit in fm4 but i`ve got some time off to use up so thought i might have a go. any other video editing suits/packages/sites that might help create something that anyone knows of would be great help aswell.

FM4 only allows you to record up to 30seconds straight from xbox to fm.net, but the quality isnt amazing and creating videos using 100 shots, say each shot 5 seconds a piece, takes ALOT of time.

If this is the only way to record your shots, like I had to, then take your time and make sure you have plenty of patience, next is the editing software.

All current movies iv uploaded are edited and put together with Windows Movie Maker, its decent, and is good for short films, but very basic, at college we use professional industry standard software, the main one for video editing being Adobe Premier Plus, but at home iv recently aquired Sony Vegas Pro, a very good, highly effective software, but takes very good skills to understand, took me weeks to work the basics and is the same software some of the biggest gaming networks use on their Youtube channels, I.E Machinima, and even Forza themself use the same program.

Alot of reading I apologise, but just thought i'd fill you in on some info and pray it helps lol

i really am coming into this idea blind as i have no knowledge on this at all so every little bit of advice/help is greatly appreciated as always.
so if i had a capture card(not sure what one is,haha) or a pvr would they be of any use?
also if fm.net only allows 30s clips could they be edited together via an external program?

think i may just have to have a play recording on xbl and see how the very basics of saving it onto fm.net work and go from there.

basically i thought i could just record short clips via xbl/fm4 and save them. then maybe use an external program or editing suit to piece them together. am i being a bit too naive in thinking it`d be this easy?
