BTCC Infineon NASCAR

Sunday 23rd September.

Qualifying 2 laps ghosts no damage.
Race 1 6 laps qualifying order no damage no mandatory pits.
Race 2 11 laps reverse order damage limited no mandatory pits.
Race 3 18 laps random order damage limited mandatory pits.

Has this not been changed to Laguna seca?

May have to run a driver training school for Volvo drivers lol.

Really random question but how many gears do people use. I'm set up for 4 not tried sorting it for 5 or 6. Just wandered what people run

I am using 5 for Infineon use 6 when the track has longer straights but only use first at the start of the race.

i always try to use 6, but my car will do 130mph in 3rd, and 4th through 6th do about 10mph each

Pretty much all my cars run on the same method of 5 gears, 6th ONLY on a large straight, i.e Road America or Sebring, don't like having to shift several times on a single section of the track, less shifting the better, and less risk of clutch damage too.

Looking forward to this as a good few of us are neck and neck time wise but there is no room for aggressiveness on this track only way to get past is if your quicker on a straight or if the person in front makes an error.

Got a little question: 1:21 would be the fastest lap time, am I right?
Just asking because my lap time is a 1:25 and I can not be 4 seconds faster.
Will try again anyway because Wicked send me a tune (thank you) and I want to use it as good as possible

Yeah best i've hit is a 1:21:4 what car are you in fella and what is your pi I could send you a tune aswell and just see if it works for you or not.

As Goodwin said a 1.21 has been done but if you can get near to a low 1.22 you should be competitive. If you need help I'll run some laps with you. We've all used these cars for a few races so getting upto speed my seem a massive jump but it's possible.

I will do my 100 laps training session from last season.

tried the VW out last night and can hit 1.22s consistantly , thnaks for the tune and i would like to offically switch to the Golf , rip the Focus

was good racing to the new guys just get some practice in if you need a bit of tuning help plenty of us will help you out.

yeah was real good racing tonight, few bumps and scrapes but to be expected on a course like infineon. it did seem "racey" tonight but i certainly don`t have any complaints and think that was most enjoyable racing i`ve had since mid dtm season!

i`m willing to take a points deduction as i tapped lou in race two, that`s two weeks running i`ve affected one of lou`s races for the worse and i think it`s a bit unfair.

No worries at all si...i really am ok, no issues at all, that's racing, bumps n scuffs happen, it wasn't heavy or malicious contact ;-) thought 2nites racing was fun, nowhere near challenging for podiums, but was entertaining trying to chase the guys ahead...think i spent 90% of the last race trying to catch cobra ;-)

Congrats to the winners and i'll update leaderboards and put replays up tomorrow :-)

I had a fun time almost made it through the night without losing connection then finaly lived up to my reputation and rolled

I thoroughly enjoyed last night with a variety of winners and I had 3 very different races. PI will be up for nxt week once leaderboards are up as it was difficult to tell without a bit of maths as the results were all so close.

I´m sorry if I caused some dents.
Especially in the first race.
Hit some cars but also got hit.
That is racing.
I cannot drive like Vettel with my skill and car ( I hate you Golf!!! .)
So I´m more like Schumacher
Btw. maybe we should let Fozzy have his hard earned place (7?) in the last race.
The disconnect was in the last lap and we wouldn´t have catched him anyway.
