COD - Ghosts

went to do some shopping at local asda this morning and was surprised to see a huge stand stuck right in the way of the entrance full of the new cod. didn`t even realise it was release last night. haven`t heard any hype or seen any adverts for this cod and think it`s the first one since MW2 that i`ve not been interested in.

any got it or getting it?

also was surprised and bit disappointed that the graphics have had to be scaled down for the xbox one.

Possibly getting it on xbox one launch day, or battlefield not sure yet played the battlefield beta and couldn't get into it so will probably buy ghost instead.

Not heard anything good about it yet Si, think a lot of people have given it a miss on the current gen consoles as well. Most reviews I've seen/heard have been that it should have just been called MW4 as it's no different.

well after seeing the footage from e3 where the developers were waxing lyrical about how fish move out of your way (echo the dolphin way back  ) and how integral the dog is i was put off as i`m not gona scoop the poop via kinect   i`ve got bf4 pre ordered so will see what the general consensus is when it`s had some time on the one, i`ll let gaz waste his money and complain how crap it is first  

cod`s just not moving forward and although the two black ops versions where a bit of advancement i can`t see how it`s going to compete with next gen fps.

A big problem with this one is it being realeased on current and next gen. Its gonna potentially half the amount of people playing online.

A lot of places are doing preferential trade in for 360/ps3 up to xbone/ps4 for games to try and improve sales but i think all these games being released on both gens are going to feel a sales slump. ac4 is meant to be a cracking game but can see that suffering too

BF4 < Arma 3

Cod ghosts is just the same old crap that hasn't changed much since cod4

BF4 is an upgraded version of BF3

Arma 3 beats these games easily

It doesn't appear to be doing too badly, i saw an article that said its done $1billion in the 1st day which gta5 took 3 days to do? Not that this nugget of info is of any use to how good it is as a game but its the closest ive come to call duty ever lol At least i can now say ive read a news story about it

Personally I think they are saving it for the X Box One.

problem is though cod has been selling purely on the fact it`s cod, fanboys will buy it whether it`s a shocker or not. i was really into black ops, everyone knew mw3 wouldn`t live up to black ops and even though mw3 was a poor game it still sold well basically because it`s cod  

looking forward to hearing from people i know give feedback.

so been watching few vids today and things i`ve noticed so far,

you die quick, almost seems instakill (either low life or high damage)
i like the look of field operations
hit markers at point blank with shotguns  
quickscoping returns  
maps are bigger
not as many choke points in maps  

didn`t realise ps4/xbone will be 9 v 9 instead of lowly 6 v 6  

i may just do a u turn and buy this (only if just get chance to headshot gaz  ) , asked a friend who`s got it and he generally likes it so far but has expressed one of mine/his biggest gripes with recent cod games - LAG COMPENSATION. he thinks it`s still being implemented

ppfftttt, if you`re shooting is like you`re racing lines you`ll have more chance of shooting the clouds than me head.

well i`ve done exactly what i told meself i wouldn`t...i`ve been watching too many vids of the game. contemplating popping into to game tomorrow not only to pay off my 0ne pre order but ask about this trade up option on ghosts. seems bit of a no brainer that with all this time on me hands at moment not to get ahead of gaz by having two weeks levelling up and trade up for a £10  
plus gta5 is going in as a trade in or ebay as the single player glitch has fecked that game up!!

That's awesome Gaz One question, u mention plug n charge...does the one console not come with one? i assume its batteries in controller till i buy one?

Yes Lou, straight out the box the controller need batteries the plug n charge works identically to the 360 version charge via USB and you can carry on playing whilst charging.

What is the difference between the ltd edition version and the digital download version? Game content I am talking aboot not arty farty boxes and a key ring

Don't know about digital version, but ltd edn has day 1 cars, vip mship, and extra cars if i remember correctly when i ordered. The Game website lists exactly what's included but i cant link cus im on my phone and don't know how to oh and ltd edition has stickers n stuff again also
