guessing there`s no rumble triggers? braking on standard controller settings is non existent. can see i`ll get fed up fairly quick of having to fanny around with all the controller settings and then the car settings just to get a single car to feel realistic (or at least have some feeling).

I've come up with these and I'm getting quicker and more in control, slightly numb feeling and less direct but more control Smile

Stability control On
Traction Control On
Gearing manual
Auto clutch on
Controller input mode 3
Advanced On
Soft steering dampening On
Visual wheel filtering On
Opposite lock help Off
Steering deadzone 18
Steering sensitivity 10
Throttle deadzone 0
Throttle sensitivity 0
Brake deadzone 0
Brake sensitivity 65
Clutch deadzone 5 (think mute as auto clutch)
Clutch sensitivity 45 (as above)
Speed sensitivity 65
Controller filtering sensitivity 55
Force feedback 85
RPM/Gear display On

Ensure controller has latest update and leave it plugged in whilst playing.  I'll update this post if I find anything better.

PS. Testing with a Clio around Donny.  Also, main feature of Clio tune is increase steering ratio to a slower setting.  Slower the better, just try and compromise with out getting too much understeer.

I'm sure we will all get there. With the wheel the game is awesome. Would you all be better just trying to get the controller settings correct before going on to the tuning?

There is wisdom in that Baz, having you as a test is handy because at first I couldn't work out how much was controller and how much was tune Rolling Eyes

Tried it baz thanks, my problem is the instant snap as soon as you release the left stick I'm sure forza is a gradual return to centre whereas cars just seems to snap back which causes the cars to lose control especially under braking Mad

Looks like they've replicated the problem on their test rigs and are working on a patch. Have to give credit to the team behind this game. It's the weekend and the devs are on the forum responding and working on it. That is 100% more than what the T10 peeps do Rolling Eyes

in a way, yes it`s good they`re cracking on with fixing a shipped broken game. that said though is where the problem lies for me, how the hell did the game go gold Exclamation
there`s no way anyone is going to be able to convince me this game was tested on an xbox one with a controller. if it was then shame on the devs for shipping with so many problems, just not acceptable paying full price for a game to be a beta tester.

i`m really not sure i`ll be able to go through the process of having to "tune" the controller for for what may be every car in the game.

i`m trying to stay with the game and work through all the bugs but it`ts extremely draining (again the fact that after paying full price for a game that you have to play through the bugs/glitches/general crapness shouldn`t be accepted)

so racing the superkart i noticed that when putting very slight input to the thumbstick through a corner the kart would still be turning in the direction of that input after the corner down the straight, almost like the wheel wouldn`t centre it`s self. yet when i put slight input in the opposite direction all hell broke loose, the kart would steer left right and every direction it possibly could with me having no control what so ever. controller glitch/bug or me just being crap?
i really don`t understand this game and it is not lifelike! cars do things they just would not do.

tried for about an hour changing frigging controller settings with no joy, only knew i had settings something like when i could just about come out of a corner and drive straight down a straight without fishtailing like a loon!

looking for settings on the pcars forum was really depressing as i couldn`t not notice the amount of new bugs/glitches/bad programming threads that are appearing as people play the game more No

Karts are really hard, I just put it 4th and stayed there lol. The steering lock on is a known bug which the work around is to have the first steering setting at 0. I know mine isn't at 0 but the bug hasn't appeared to have affected me as I don't use full stick travel. Think it effects those more who use full left n right on the stick.

Played last night for the first time since the second patch and really can't get a good controller config setup. The ones on the pcars forum are shite, so anyone care to share theirs?
