Dragon Age - Inquisition
well i`ve been thinking of posting up about this game for a while as it`s a complete finished xbox one game so straight away makes it decent. honestly this is a cracking game, game world is massive with plenty of exploration to be done (rewards aplenty for what sometimes seems like random wandering) and the gameplay is solid. the combat can be a bit repetitive but if you`re really into rpg/strategy combat you can use the tactical combat mechanics but for me it`s too much.
i`m about 60hrs in and i`m not even sure i`m half way through the main story with plenty of side quests, the game is massive and although i keep dipping in and out of the main story it`s engaging enough to keep me interested.
if you like elder scrolls then i recommend having a look at this game.

Re: Dragon Age - Inquisition
initially i thought it was a decent game as i mentioned to you gaz, thing is more i`ve got into the game the more it`s pulled me in. good depth to the game and it`s rare for a game that`s not action packed to keep me intrigued but the lore, story and side quests seem really well written.
i never played the first two dragon age games so can`t compare, nice that the only dragon i`ve encountered i can`t quite kill (had a few attempts as i level up) where as compare to the dragons in skyrim which where disappointingly easy to overcome.
so far only bf4 and because of you lot fp5 have been keepers as is this game so that`s a plus point.
as you were a WoW player it`ll be interesting to see what you make of it, i`ve only elder scroll series to compare it to.

This has to be one the best Xbone titles I've played to date on, for a single player game to keep me hooked for this long is amazing.
Re: Dragon Age - Inquisition
think i`m about 80hrs in and still really enjoying it. brilliant how the game progresses and still fairly engrossed in the story.

Re: Dragon Age - Inquisition
You'll probably finish it before both me and Si, Lou let us know what you think best game for Xbox one that's come out so far.
Re: Dragon Age - Inquisition
Really liking it Gaz. Not sure if it's at Skyrim levels for me yet but that might just be un familiarity with the controls making me a bit clunky with it. Also wish it was first person not over the shoulder (makes me feel sick after a while). Dragons are wickedly hard, I ran away before it finished off lol. Bumped into some baby dragons which ar cute but they attacked and I had to kill them Felt awful afterwards
So far so good though, you are right...certainly seems plenty of depth to it and the politics are a bit more thought out than Skyrims

Re: Dragon Age - Inquisition
initially i was the same regarding being on a par with skyrim lou. for me the lack of free aim and the whole battle mechanics took a while to get used to. after clocking 90+ hrs on it i have to say it surpasses skyrim in nearly everything. as you`ve mentioned, the story is so deep, varied and ties in perfectly with side quests and npcs.
i really should get back into this but i`m struggling to not keep relying on bf4.

Re: Dragon Age - Inquisition
i seem to spend so much time randomly exploring every bit of the game world, collecting like a an ocd hoarder. one thing i will say is that any metal/crafting materials you collect is always best keeping as massive stocks are needed later on in the game.

I spent about half an hour googling what valuables aren't valuable and can be sold and which should be kept. I get carried away exploring and keep filling my inventory

Re: Dragon Age - Inquisition
Don't think mined/crafting materials take up any room in your bag it's mostly low grade weapons you get for killing the npc's. What class are you playing Lou?
And took me ages to do that rift as well
