Is it worth posting up the tune that still needs tweaking for everyone to try GT or is it crap?

I'd post it up GW, I added 10 to the rear wing and 0.1 to the rear bump stiffness just to try and sure up the rear a bit before I got that time.

Re: VM Testing Thread

Post  Si_ on Tue Jul 22 2014, 19:49

just bout to crank the one up for some more testing.

so far:-

Long Beach

civic - 1.30.564
pupra - 1.30.923
silvia - 1.31.223
gt86 - 1.31.746
evo - 1.32.610

don`t like the track at all so each time taken as best from circa 10 laps. also they were set well within track limits

i`ve found that super soft springs/bump/rebound with big arbs settles the cars over the totally unrealistic apex mystery bumps  Rolling Eyes  you can have a stiffer setup but there`s no way you can obey track limits as you have to cut the corners to miss the stupid apex launch pads.

Re: VM Testing Thread

Post  LucyLou217 on Mon Jul 28 2014, 16:23

Not sure how much of it is my fault though...I pretty much use rwd most the time, it might be me not adjusting for fwd. I am adjusting round it a bit now and am up to a 1:32.3. Normally I brake in, coast into the apex, then back on the power to kick the back a bit and corner exit. Doing that in this is just causing the front to understeer, and there's way too many walls to be allowing that Wink

I haven't done too many FWD laps on this circuit so can't really help much but driving line is incredibly important on this track and the apex's are a bugger on some corners. I've found you have to make the turn in as wide as possible on a lot of the 90 degree corners. You can also brake later than you think into the first left hander without kissing the wall and be on target for the roundabout.
