Data collected so far.

Top speed test was done on Test Drag 1 mile Drag
All run with default tuning settings.
Testing was done alphabetically by manufacturer.
All builds for the above cars are available by searching for "for si"

My Long beach times seemed to improve as testing went on so maybe the first 5 maybe need to be run again.

Hopefully will finish Road America this afternoon.

Impressions so far.

As you can see all builds seem to be fairly equal 0.8 seconds separating 12 builds around Road Atlanta that's impressive and a  cheers for the VM testing team , 1.6 seconds around Long Beach but that may close down now I have learnt the track  Smile

My favourites so far are
BMW 1M and Z4
Toybaru BGT86RZ
RX7
Supra

Dislike
Civic SI

Having not driven or being able to drive any of them, the BRZ features in the top 3 in 3 of the 4 tests so far. I'd go for that, from an analytical view point.  Smile

It's a rolling start Baz so u can autocheatclutch to your hearts content Razz  The 1M was tempting seeing as I have one painted and tuned waiting for our postponed series,  but, the Celica is just calling to me...although so was the Supra and GT86, S2000...oh and the RX7 Wink

Re: VM Testing Thread

Post  Si_ on Sun Jul 20 2014, 15:49

will be on tonight for 7 if not before.
built the rx7 and tested it, tried tuning it and it`s a dog. understeer and lift off oversteer, even tried some stupid settings to get rid of the copious amounts of understeer and it still wouldn`t behave!

tried the silvia and a bit meh, supra is nice but needs work, toybaru is most planted and has the pace, evo 8 is ok but doesn`t have pace. may have tried more but wasn`t really in the mood for testing.
