well i finally bit the bullet and decided to pick one up. so far with an hours use it seems to work, not seen anyone online yet to test chat with though.
so my x31`s finally work and the improvement is massive (obvious), one thing i have noticed so far is that they now have a hissing/interference background constant noise which isn`t great but most in game sound covers this.
i had to get used to playing battlefield with the new surround sound and all round deeper sound immersion, felt a bit weird at first but wow what a difference.

cheers should be on for a bit around half 4 if you need a Guinea pig to test then out on, and must admit the adaptor is the best £20 I've spent on the one so far

the sounds that are now noticeable in game are impressive, had a fly buzzing around me in game and nearly swatted it away with me hand  Embarassed  the sound of bullets hitting different materials, the depth of sound effects did surprise me.

F.A.O Baz

Tritons should work with the stereo adaptor as long as your joypad has been updated.

So when I went to buy one of these the other day the bloke in GAME told me that if my headset has red and white pin connection for sound it won't work with the Xbone even if I bought the adapter, is this true?

Red and white cables for plugging in your tv to get sound? Is there is a 2.5 or 3.5mm jack plug you used to plug in the 360 controller for chat?

Oh yeah, ignore that, he was talking shite! The red and white sound cables go into the tv not the xbox  Embarassed

its still not perfect and somewhat a micro$oft bodge as you can hear the tv in the background and have to mute it whilst on the xbox gt, but yes it works as that`s same as my x31`s.
also the balance between in game sound and chat is difficult to get right with the weird adapter adjuster buttons paired with having an in line chat adjuster, if not right there`s lots of feedback for all. seems you need to adjust the in game sound via the game master volume.

It would be incredibly rude of me not to thank Mr Singe for firstly the research into the operational  capabilities of my tritton headset, secondly the technical advice with regards to setting up my headset to work at their peak performance levels, thirdly for the initial testing and calibration phase and finally for the final test procedures. Without Mr Singe's professional input and patience I fear I may not have been able to enjoy my headset's undoubted audio brilliance.  I love you
