This is a combined tuning/hot lap challenge because im not convinced in my driving talents to test the tunes Rolling Eyes

The challenge is to tune any Japanese car to C423 PI and set the fastest lap around Positano Full.  Gift these tunes to me and I will also run 5 laps around Positano in each tune and see which I can set the fastest time in.  Prizes of 5 million credits to the fastest own tune/lap and 5million credits to whom evers tune gets me around quickest Wink Closing date is Friday 20th December at 11pm GMT.  I am hoping looking at the Leaderboards that everyone should beat their times on there.  If that proves impossible please send me the replays and msg me with what lap the time was set Smile

Now this is my idea of a challenge! Very Happy  Taking medium-small jap cars, giving them really grippy tyres and slight power increase and flinging them round the Monaco of Forza.
I've had a right hoot the last few days trying to find an oddball car that can set a decent time. I'm trying to avoid the MX-5's the MR-2's and the city cars (particularly the Aygo), which doesn't leave much of a choice. I've tried a whole concoction of vehicles from RWD's Mazda 2 which has to be one of the craziest but fun-nest cars I've built, to the Prelude as well as an SX-4, Starion, Corolla, and Datsun 510. It's great just cobbling a build together, slapping a basic tune on it, and then going for hoon while skimming walls with ya' wing mirrors.

Great challenge Lucy. cheers Very Happy cheers

As for my fastest time, well it's not on the leaderboard yet, and no-where near Si's 1.03.

Think I might end up with the SX4 tbh. Can't get passed the mid 1.04's in the Starion or Corolla.

As for the Celica Lucy, personally speaking, can't get a competitive time out of it. The PI is too high to begin with to be able to do it justice.

Right, enough scrolling and typing. Time for an Amalfi run in the Corolla. There's a low 1.04 in there somewhere. Very Happy

I've done a 1:02,580 in a MX-5 Superlight. Tune has been sent Lucy. Verification can be done with the Leaderboards Smile

Really wanted to go for an RWD since thats what I prefer. Tried the 240z and MR2 but they were not as good as the MX-5 Razz

That's a cracking time Lars. Very Happy  Shame it was done in an MX-5 lol!

Now go and try a Toyota Corolla with no aero and see how close you can get to a 1.04.501. Smile

HOLLLAAAAAAAA!!!! 1.04.087.

Now I know that's not faster than Lars or Si, but I'm proud of my trusty non-aero Corolla AE86. I know I can go quicker in other cars, but hey, I'm submitting my plucky little Corolla. Have placed it in the club garage, the tune has been gifted to Lucy, and the time is on the leaderboard. I can upload a replay too if needed.  Smile

Cool. No worries Lucy. Hopefully by posting this, it may remind a few others too.

The Corolla probably won't be... no definitely won't be the fastest, but you should have fun driving it, although it will probably end up with a few bent panels.  Razz

Sorry about the delay finalising this Embarassed

Congratulations Lars, fastest tune/time set both by yourself and me Smile With me driving it, Daniel's Trueno tune ran it close though, I really struggled to get anywhere near your time Rolling Eyes Will have to try and arrange a time when we can both get onto FM4 so I can buy some 10mil worth of auctions from u Smile

I loved this challenge, so thanks again to Lucy, and well done Lars on building a cracking car. Any chance of putting it in the club garage so I can have a go?  Smile
