Re: Project C.A.R.S
if buying it for xbox then don`t, just don`t! may as well wait for the game to be fixed so you can enjoy it for what it should be instead of the infuriating experience it is now ( this certainly applies to anyone who will be using a controller)
i`m not sure about the ps4 or pc, i`m guessing it was tested extensively on pc though so should be fine on that format.

Re: Project C.A.R.S
I like it but then I'm easily pleased In all honesty it will almost definitely be better on PC because pretty much all games are. I think defining question will be social side of XB live. If this goes the way of Forza though they'll be no social again lol. Personally I have faith that fixes will come. I've not come across a game before where the devs are posting on forums and working on fixes over a weekend so I'm cautiously optimistic that the issues will be ironed out

Re: Project C.A.R.S
Sorry for my hissy fit last night was just getting fed up with being so far off the pace, think it's all about my throttle control, braking and gear changes. Don't seem to get any feeling when I'm braking that I'm actually slowing down and that seems to be where the poor graphics comes into it as I'm not picking up visual aids and then no rumble under braking either is not giving me that sense of realism. Throttle control is my issue and always has been even with Forza I need to learn how to apply the throttle gradually (not all on or all off). Gear changes I'm really struggling on where to change gear, do I change when the light goes red or when it's amber or when it's green or before any lights? I'm just not sure what's fastest.
I'm not hating the game it's just really frustrating me being so slow

Re: Project C.A.R.S
I tend to change just as all the shifts lights come on the display. With the cars with analogue I just change when the number goes red. Exception is short shifting coming out of slow corners sometimes and also some fast kinks need a short shift as it settles the car better

Re: Project C.A.R.S
Hi all, I played it on ps4, and I must say it's a different game, it works!!! No real controller issues, it's just I'm useless with em, the sound seemed more intense and graphically a lot smoother, but what did get me was if you over rev the engine it blew, but it didn't do that on the xbone...are we still having fun with it?

Feel your pain GT mine nearly went out the window last night too
However frustrating it is with a controller I'm determined to make it work until a fix comes out for the rumble in the triggers I've started adjusting my brake and throttle sensitivity in the vain hope I can gain more consistent lap times, just seems so hit and miss at present. The gap between wheel users and pad users seems to increase exponentially as we use quicker cars almost turned tc on last night in the z4 because I couldn't tell when the rear tyres were losing traction (is anyone using tc and does it help with the lack of trigger rumble?). If we were to do a series at present it would have to be a lower level car that appeals to both pad and wheel users in my opinion. Because beneath this infuriating experience for us pad users I reckon is a decent game hiding (may have heard this once or twice last night by the wheel users or was it my imagination )so roll on patch #1 sms and let us hope you aren't the new t10.

Re: Project C.A.R.S
no steps anywhere for me, thought i`d try the fanboy advice that`s been posted up on pcars forum of uninstalling/re-installing the game. launch day installation took approximately 40mins, so far this install is at 55% after 23hrs

Re: Project C.A.R.S
well i`m not sure if it is or isn`t. could mean the game didn`t fully install the first time, although think i`m really clutching at straws here.
at least it`s staving off the frustration of playing the damn game!

Re: Project C.A.R.S
who he
something i don`t understand about this re-installation, if the game installs to the hard drive (maybe cloud) from the disk then why is it taking so long and what is being re-installed?
also, when a car starts to slide (usually to the right) it feels like the wheels are still accelerating (even though i`ve come off the loud pedal) and the car reacts as if it has a locked differential. plus no opposite lock or steering into the slide will catch it, it`s like the wheels haven`t registered any controller input. is this part of the controller bug?
i first noticed it in the ginetta when exiting the pits on cold tyres, the slightest loss of traction with the slightest angle of steering angle the car would just slide it`s self straight off.
