Project C.A.R.S

Post  Si_ on Thu Nov 07 2013, 12:40

well after the mixed emotions that forza5 has given us recently i thought maybe it`s time to start a cars thread. i`ve known about this game for near on two years and was going to invest in it with one of the project packs (no pc so didn`t bother) and really wish i had now.
due to it now being confirmed as a xbox one title i`m more interested than ever and feel this will be my main "sim" racer on the one. so, any info, comments or general  chit chat regarding pCARS stick it in here Smile

found this interesting vid over at tora, nice to get a perspective from someone who`s actually played through the various alpha stages.

few general vids of different alpha stages

two good comparison vids

now the first few vids posted are early alpha, the comparison vids are more recent and i think give more of an insight to just how great this game looks.

well it seems that circa november should be the time we get a proper racing game for the one. nicked this vid from the tora forum

some interesting things mentioned in this clip , menus being worked on (forza5/t10 take note!!!) and things that piece the game together sounds promising as to me that means the core game which is seen in this vid is looking good and yet still 9months of development.

Sweet. Hope they actually all make it into the game. That's the list that should have been in Forza 5. I still don't understand how P-Cars can get away with so blatantly using real world circuits but just changing the names. Surely all it takes is for one circuit owner to kick off, and they all will.

they`re all confirmed as in game daniel  cheers

been watching some vids of the menus, might sound daft but after the hashed s***e that forza5 has for me it can now make or brake a game. the menu setup/interface and general navigation seems good, fairly simple and well laid out yet still with the quality and options of the high end pc sims.

seeing how this has progressed over the last 18months and how the community feedback has been taken on board and implemented makes me think this will be the real deal.

The more I see and read about project cars the more excited I get, this game will be brilliant and hopefully give the much larger games developers the kick up the arse they need.

With how awesome project cars looks and sounds. No doubt forza will have to up there game or otherwise loose racers to what will be there new rival.

Ps how are the xbox ones the graphics look amazing and according to gadget show the xbox one has more graphics power via it having the better processor than ps4.(I got this from there website and watching the christmas special)

Graphics are exceptional Scott, but all the games that are out so far are all flawed in some way or another which is bitterly disappointing for early adopters of the XBone.

Funny that the gadget show said the one is more powerful always thought the ps4 was slightly more powerful but I think it is marginal.

to say this is still in development for another few months this is encouraging....

guy doing commentary is bit of a chuckle and actual gameplay isn`t exactly riveting but karts look like could be fun and the main thing in this clip is that it shows some of the menus. seems some really good options for championships and balancing.

Now call me stupid, but if the game isn't out yet, how can so many people be doing game reviews online for us all to enjoy.

Onto the game. The level of adjustability is just immense. I hope it remains this adjustable in the final edition. It's looking good for Project Cars... not so much for other racing games.

people who bought into it have access to the alpha/beta build versions and it`s their feedback and input that shapes the game for it going gold. they are doing the testing, basically it`s how a game should be developed, take note EA/T10-Micro$oft!

Graphics guys got let loose and went mental... with great results. Looks very good indeed. The lighting programme must be insane. Oschesleben has never looked so good.

Only jibe. Those clouds must be travelling over 200mph!!! That needs fixing.

The more I see of this game the more excited I am getting  cheers I just hope it plays as well as it looks. Looks like this clip is just a showcase of the weather effects with accelerated real time effects may explain why the clouds are doing 200mph.

The more I see of this game (which is still in development), the more I think it ill be this that persuades me to get the latest Xbox or Playstation. It looks great.

Especially since they seem to be getting hold of licenses too. They've announced Audi, Bentley, Radical, Renault and latest Mustang.
