Italian Beauty and The Beast Photo Competition
Italian cars are generally described as some of the most beautiful cars ever made and even in some cases nominated as fine art Therefore ive decided to pose a photo challenge with a twist This challenge has three parts with 5million credits going to the winner of each part This requires the following:
Post up your photo using this layout:
Title (Which title you are entering for, either Beauty or Beast)
Photo(s) (please state if using more than one photo of the car which photo is to be entered into the overall photo comp)
Then a description/plea/essay/begging letter on why you feel your choice should win the Beauty or Beast category.
After the closing date for entries of Friday 20th December at 11pm GMT we shall set up three polls, one for beauty, one for beast and one for best/favourite picture. Obviously, most votes when the polls close after a week will be the respective winners
There are no limits to the number of entries although each entry must be a separate post Remember, the more persuasive your argument in your nomination, the more chance of swaying everyone around to your way of thinking and winning those polls

Re: Italian Beauty and The Beast Photo Competition
very very difficult ones these, really tough choice for both categories.
now for my italian beauty i`ve gone for the maserati 300s
my reasons for this choice are that it`s everything i love about classic sports cars in that it`s just what they should be all about, pure driving pleasure. yet it has the simplistic body that doesn`t have the aggressive shouty pods, angled lines or exuberance of modern italia supercars but it still manages to look "racey". yes ok it has quite a bit of ducting bit this shows the advancement of the design. again, the front end design thay still lives on in more modern and recent maserati which is testament to a great design it was.
i had about 4 or 5 cars in mind, some boyhood poster porn but that`s exactly what they are, a boyhood romance yet the 300s really is something i`d relish to be driving through the italian riviera blasting along from nice (yeah ok, france) to pisa in such style and yet such pace with grace.
my beauty:-
Maserati 300 S

I saw your edit note Si, so edited your post adding a resized picture. Is that any better? If it isn't I left your original so you can delete mine

I think the right side being cut off is only on phones, can see the picture fine on the computer.

Re: Italian Beauty and The Beast Photo Competition
Italy the Mecca for any super car enthusiast so which car do you choose for an "Italian beauty" photo competition Ferrari, Pagani, Maserati, Abarth Alfa Romeo but their can only be one true Italian beauty and that is the worlds first super car the game changer that was the Lamborghini P400 Muira.
Top speed of 171mph 0-60 in 6 seconds 350hp not too shabby for a car built in 2013 never mind a car that was first built 47 years ago.
So I present to you all this picture that I have lovingly prepared in 30 seconds for your delight.

RE: Image sizing. It depends on your screen. I only run a 13" laptop, so I tend to resize all my images 800px along the longest side. If you use the "host image" option, you're actually given an option to resize to 800px. Alternatively, if you're using a hosting website i.e. Flickr, then you should have the option for sizing if you right click, open the 800px option, then use the url.
@Lucy. Doubt I'll be entering. Seems unfair now I'm not actually in the club on the game.
@Baz. What's the make and model? Any performance figures?

Daniel...you are MORE than welcome to enter You are still welcome and part of this club in our eyes even if not in name Plus, a photo comp without your pics just isn't worth having someone needs to show Baz the error of his nawty waysGreenfly750 wrote:RE: Image sizing. Re: Italian Beauty and The Beast Photo Competition
300km/h in the Crimson Beast
Thought I'd go for the beast category.
It's a Zonda. In my mind there is little more I have say, but; The Pagani Zonda is everything that Lamborghini's used to be, and everything that Ferrari's should be. It has the looks of an amazonian woman draped in satin, the performance of a figure skater in the shell of a boxer, and the voice of an angel on a cocktail of steroids, covonia and night nurse.
When asked to define this amazing automobile the answer is quite simple; It's a Zonda.

The closing date has now past, and with only one entry in the beast category, the overwhelming winner is Daniel with his Zonda nomination...5mil credits to you
The polls for Beauty and the overall best pic are up now also. Voting closes on 29th December at whatever time I get on during the day
