Sports Car Series PI Allocation
So to speed things up with the Sports Car Series here are some times to start to aim for
Nurburgring GP 2.03.5 - 2.04.0
Road America 2.14.0 - 2.14.5
Tune your car and take PI off or add PI until you are consistently between the 2 times for each track.
Once you have achieved this post your PI below.
Any questions please post below.
Thanks all.

Re: Sports Car Series PI Allocation
I guess those are the times to aim for when you've already tuned your car the way you like it? So you can adjust your PI after you've tuned your car.

Spot on Lars, tune it test it add PI or remove PI test again and keep repeating until you are getting consistent times between those quoted above.

If I'm on the pace for nurburg, but not road America, What to do?

Re: Sports Car Series PI Allocation
It's road America, no matter what setup I run always a second and half of the pace! Nurburgring on the pace

Seems like you have enough grip but not enough power in my opinion.
If you want you could gift me the tune Paul and will see if its the same results for me tomorrow.

Cheers, but I know where I'm losing the time, the long fast right, and the ring kink(having to lift for it) but I'll gift the tune, and see what you think, thanks Gaz

Paul, you're driving the Porsche right? I'm having the same problem at Road America.

Yes mate, I'm running it with a small amount of aero, but losing time in the fast corners, but it's not one of my favourites, need more practice on it

Gaz, found a nice little setup last night, down to a 14.8 but there's least a second in it, was tried and made mistakes. the porsche doesn't suffer on the straights it's in the fast flowing corners, and turn in on slow corners, but I'll be on later for a bit of a shakedown

Good going Paul, I'm on till about 12.00 and back on about 7.00 tonight.

Re: Sports Car Series PI Allocation
We ran a few lobby's on Sunday night and people still seem to be tuning and altering PI so maybe another week and another shakedown on Sunday. Seems to be levelling out a bit more though but still a bit goldilocks some too quick, some too slow, and some seem to be just right.
Re: Sports Car Series PI Allocation
It's amazing what a difference 9bhp makes!
After sunday's test sessions, and having to drive every lap like my life depended on it to get into the time bracket, I decided to follow Gaz. Put the standard flywheel back on, 663 to 661, then add the 9bhp air filter to 665.
Nurburgring GP.
9 flying laps, Fastest, 2.03.3 on laps 4 and 6. Slowest 2.04.1 on lap 2 and 9. Every other lap was in between these times.
So I've gone from being 1 or 2 tenths down to 2 tenths inside the time.
Road America.
5 flying laps (was meant to be 7 but I rolled on lap 7... ooops), Fastest, 2.14.0 on lap 2. Slowest, 2.14.9 on lap 1. Every other time was between these times.
I'm now bang on. (the 2.13.8 i did on sunday had to be a fluke-ish lap. Even with 9 more bhp I couldn't do a 2.13)
Is this okay, or do you want me to jiggle the build about so it's 664 instead??? 663, personally speaking, will just be sooo hard to be consistently competitive in.

Re: Sports Car Series PI Allocation
That sounds fine with me Dan, it's consistent times we are after and if you are only over by a couple of tenths on a full bore lap that's fine. We are never going to get everybody on the same time we are just trying to avoid 1-2 seconds difference not 1-2 tenths.

With a little help from his friends. I like evening like that. Laid back chit-chat, with a few lobbies. Happy days.
