Season 6 Single Manufacturer Support Race.

Post  Wicked Singe on Fri May 10 2013, 22:06

We have narrowed the S6 single make support race down to 3 Cars here are the builds for each car.

As you can see from the build list for each car the tuning options available are limited this is so we have more free time as a club in the week to do more "fun" stuff.

If you are presently in grp 1 or 2 attach only the parts in black
If you are presenlty in grp 3 attach all the parts in black & red
If you are presenlty in grp 4 atach all the parts in black red & blue.

Please can each club member build one of each car to your specific PI and during the next week or so we will be hosting a few lobby's to gauge public opinion. Once you have decided which car(s) is your favourite vote in the poll above multiple choices are allowed if you can't decide on just one, and vote cancelling is enabled in case you change your mind.

Wicked. Very Happy Will do this tomorrow, after yet more V8 testing.

EDIT: Also, I'm guessing it would be wise to leave the tune (tyre pressures, suspension, diff. etc) as standard, barring brake pressure to suit driver preference?

Tune away Dan, there is very little to adjust anyway so I am hoping once people have their tune they will just leave it from week to week.

I've got one of each. I can put them in the club garage too if that helps for anyone in group 1 or 2 that hasn't built them. Smile

Righty oh here's my summary and after seeing the votes I'm rather worried!

Clio: absolutely shocking car I found it totally undriveable, worse of the lot!!

RX8: lovely car to drive, with maybe a hint of oversteer. However, no way in hell would I be able to put up with that rotary engine for a whole series! Sounds like a f**king bumblebee on steroids!!!

350Z: by far the best of the three! Lovely to accelerate and sublime handling. Managed to keep up with my top A class time exige very easily. Loved it!

Now looking at the results I'm so confused at how people have voted for that abomination of a car the Clio.

Judging from the bit of testing we did last week,

I'd be most competitive in either the Clio or 350Z.

The Clio was the easiest to drive.

But the Mazda is my favourite. So I voted Mazda. mazdamazdamazdamazdamazdamazdamazdaMAZDA!!!
