I'm putting a sports car series together if you want to see if anyone is interested

Sports Car Open Championship

Format:
Teams of 2 drivers
Three races per session -
Race one - ghosts, best lap
Race two - long race with pit stop. The pit stop must occur during the pit window (displayed in brackets), counted from the lap you enter the pits. It is your job to ensure you do not enter the pits too quickly and cause a drive through instead of a stop. If this happens you must make another stop, or risk disqualification if discovered.
Race three - short sprint race
Reverse grid

Track Etiquette:
Forza may just be a game, but at the same time we all want to have fun. Please follow the following guidelines:
-Drive as if it was real and judge gaps with the aim to finish unscathed as opposed to trying to get in front as soon as possible.
-If you are trying to pass you should have at least half your car along side the car you are trying to pass before you can 'claim' space on the track. That being said, they may not be aware of your presence so be prepared to back out.
-If you cause a collision or make a pass off track or gain an advantage off track you should give the place back.
-No matter what happens aggressive behaviour over mic's will not be tolerated.
-If you feel another driver has acted unfairly save a replay of the race and upload it to your storefront with the time that the event occurred in the description. Send me a message on Xbox live to let me know, and I'll decide if any action needs to be taken.

Scoring:
Points are awarded for each race per week. At the end of the session the points will be totaled and awarded championship points depending on final position. In both instances points are awarded as follows:
1st - 25
2nd - 19
3rd - 14
4th - 11
5th - 9
6th - 7
7th - 5
8th - 3
9nth - 2
10th - 1
At the end of the series each contestant has their lowest score dropped from their final tally. Each team will have their lowest 2 scores dropped. In the event of a tie dropped scores will be used to decide final positions.

Car restrictions:
PI must not exceed 600 (class A)
Engine placement must be mid
Drive train must be RWD
Must be naturally aspirated
Year must be 1990 or greater
Team mates must use same car and build (parts)
Team mates may use different tunes

Livery restrictions:
Racing number must be displayed on both sides of the car using the vinyl from my SF
Racing numbers must be between 100 and 999 and are on a first come first basis
Team mates must use identical liveries apart from:
-Racing number
-Driver name / flag
-Rim colour
-Minor details such as bumper stickers

Schedule:
All races will be held on Wednesdays at 19.30 UK time. The start may be delayed up to 10 minutes if someone is late.

im up for being anyones team mates baz...like i said though...not sure about wednesday nights yet. Kinda could do with getting good pairings though...thats why i offered to team up with chris cus he can tune and i cant...kinda daft if all our tuners go in teams together i was tinking

sounds good. nice point lou bout teams having a tuner in the pair, nice idea.
i`m in and don`t mind teaming up with anyone, i`d be happy to do build & tune if someone wants to do paint. plus i`m never fussed what car i race really.

This bit concerns me a bit especially after speaking to Chris the other day, and i hope Hotdog can answer my concerns as the easy choice of car would be the Elise which i know quite a few of us don't use because of its leaderboard positions. But if people are in the Elise no other car would be competitve.

is it really that good?
honestly i have no idea about leaderboard cars.

You saying you want me to ban the Elise?

No mate not at all it's your series I wouldn't want to interfere with it, but if you have a team running the Elise it makes it difficult for the rest of the teams to keep up with the pace, especially with the tracks you have chosen short to medium handling tracks. Don't want to interfere just putting my 2p in for what it's worth.

Only problems I'm having with banning a car is there are several clubs involved in this and I don't want to make things too strict and turn them away, not to mention it might be complicated to do it at this stage.

Am I right in thinking there will be 2 teams from this club? Trying to get an idea of numbers

No worries Hotdog, I believe there is 1 definite and 1 probable at the moment Si and Chris are definitely racing, Lou is a maybe but not every week and I am just checking the logistics of putting my daughter to bed and eating and the logging on to forza as we speak so if I am on before 7.30 I should be good to go.

What time does she go to bed? I'll be holding on until 7.40 for everyone to join, I think I mentioned it in the original post.

I will be able to take part did a trial run on wed and was on Xbox by 7.15 so all good to go.

I could race with you gaz but I'm no very fast lol. I'll no be embarrassed if you tell me to do one. I could maybe do the weeks that Lou can't make.

I don't mind who I race with Baz, we could put 2 or 3 teams together as Si and Lou are up for it also, and hotdog has sent me a pm saying he may have a few singles that could be paired up also.

No I am technically with Chris at the minute but don't mind changing we will all be representing PNUK.

Bazs idea isn't a bad one as i really have no idea what i will be working now as i don't know when I'm moving or what my new hours will be Sorry for being a pain
