Car list.

Only 2 of each car are allowed in the League.

All cars must have the following race upgrades.

Race Brakes
Race Springs
Race Anti Roll Bars
Race Roll Cage
Race Weight Reduction
Race Clutch
Race Transmission
Race Differential
Race Tyres
Front and Rear Forza Aero

Damage: Limited

PI to build RWD = 545
PI to build FWD = 555
RWD seem to have an advantage hence the unequal PI.

No Aspiration Conversions Allowed
No Drivetrain Conversions Allowed
No Engine Swaps Allowed
Wheels should be of an equal weight or less than the originals.


Each night will consist of 4 races.

Qualifying
2 laps with ghosts no damage.

Race 1
Sprint race
Grid will be in qualifying order.
Race will be approximately 8 minutes in length.
No damage.
No mandatory Pitstop.

Race 2
Intermediate race.
Grid will be reverse order.
Race will be approximately 16 minutes in length.
Damage will be set to limited.
No mandatory Pitstop.

Race 3
Endurance race.
Grid will be random order.
Race will be approximately 25 minutes in length.
Damage will be set to limited.
Mandatory pit stop will be required.

After each of the 3 races the top 3 and the bottom 3 will receive a PI adjustment.
1st Place = -8pi
2nd Place = -5pi
3rd Place = -3pi

Last place = +8pi
Last but one = +5pi
Last but two = +3pi

These adjustments are mandatory and non-negotiable you must finish at least 2 out of the 3 races each night for these to apply.

They are there to promote closer racing and a fair championship.

1st round will be Sunday 12th August 2012 lobby opens 7.00pm.

And can everyone please remember before we start the season, this is just a game accidents happen, there will be no contract from red bull for the winner and your partners will still think you ought to be doing something more productive on a Sunday evening.

Myself and the other leaders try to make this club a fair and fun place to race, and we try to give every member the opportunity to win a race hence the ballast system we run. And we run this club for the fun of it so please remember on a Monday morning we probably have a lot more to think about than driver y's ambitious but rubbish first corner lunge on driver x, so before the flaming of driver y's ability On a Monday morning think is it really worth a PM.

if it`s ok i`d like to have a crack with the m3 please. between that and the civic but damn i hate yuasa racing! gutted missed out on the merc, things a beast.

also the wheels being equal or less than originals, does this mean they`ve got to be green (negative - ) as in giving pi increase and not red (posotive +) as in dropping pi?
thinking it`s not the latter but just wanted to check.

Yes Si only wheels that increase or keep your PI the same.

Dont suppose we could do rolling starts for this season, as there is a massive difference in getting off the line between FWD and RWD? could cause crashes.

We can test it next time we have a lobby ID, I think its a good idea especially as we are running with damage.

But Rwd has the advantage on speed like real life. Surely that would punish Fwd?

Tested all available cars today and my laptime was always around 1:46 on Motegi.
So I will take the VW Golf (no Toyota to pick )

Don't think there is much speed difference in the cars and it will ultimately depend on the tuner.

I agree with ID GT nothing in it in top speed, was actually being overtaken by Baz on the straights on Sunday morning.

Get used to that gw.

Is there a team element to this season, if so would it be best if some of us singles team up?

i think ID people are still making up their minds on which cars to use both GT and Lou have swapped cars today so until the shuffling round is complete it may be poinless pairing up at the minute. Also i have PM'd and XBL messaged all PNUK members who have not already signed up for the BTCC and bumped the FM.net thread again today to try and entice some new members to fill the remaining spaces.

We still have a month(ish) to go before we start the BTCC Season so if we could all try and keep the PNUK thread bumped daily and try and fill the grid that would be a great help.

even through the dtm season i`ve wondered why "active" members of the club who i see regularly online via the my club members list why they don`t get involved in the leagues. think it`s 33 club members so surely half must still be active and maybe interested, be good to see few more join in ( not a rant )

really looking forward to this season and think it should be great racing with the difference in fwd/rwd.
also personally i`d prefer standing start, more true to the series and i would say that having rwd and a great launch rating

see i have gt as a team mate again, figured out i was on to something with the m3 eh might not be so kind with the inter team "orders" this season, haha.

Just wouldn't be the same without ya Si!!
