Re: General Discussion
i`ve not done anything to deadzones and the like so far, pick up and play perfection
the servers are actually very good, not noticed any lagging cars or lag spikes, lobby lag is none existent so far and at worst i`ve had a weak connection message but this is rare.
it seems t10 have implemented something that stops high latency (200ms+) users entering lobbies but it seems to be stopping virtually everyone entering the lobbies at certain times.

That's good Si . I've found my first issue, can't import FM5 designs if they used certain letters from certain letter groups smh

Re: General Discussion
Thanks GT. I must use a lot of lower case a's lol. Just had a good nights racing, nice to get back into Forza Lobbies are a bit wild at times but not too bad if you're in with a few peeps you know Forza physics spearing you off at 90degrees at the slightest side on contact is still annoying though

Re: General Discussion
Baz, have you tried this for your wheel? Vibration below 25% and everything else default (game wheel settings and normal wheel settings) (in game everything should be 0 or 100 and normal steering not sim in the assists menu)

Re: General Discussion
Fancy a single make with the maserati maybe support race, and another group 5 making that a good series to consider also.
Re: General Discussion
So I've taken the plunge and joined the 21st century with an Xbox One, and of course FM6.
I'm not sure how many sunday leagues I'll be able to attend. Work and general real life events have taken over a lot of Xbox time, but I'll do my best.
Hope to bump into some of you online, but i am yet to get a headset. (hopefully Santa will bring one) So no widdy-ban'er from me. (thank goodness).
1st impressions. Visuals are great. Sound has much improved. Track selection has improved, but at the cost of my three faves (Amalfi, Fujimi and Maple Valley) And finally, thankyou turn 10... RIM SELECTION!!!!
Game play, is good, however, and it is a BIG however. Online multiplayer is absolutely GASH. Full of yobbos torpedo-ing turn 1 and for whatever reason, Turn 10 have removed the slippy sticky grass/tarmac, as much as some of used to lament it, allowing outrageous abuse of track limits!
Physics are a lot harder to get used to. In honesty I find it hard tackling anything B class or over. Massive wheelspins and drifts ensue, which are great fun (and the smoke is cool, if a tad excessive), but no good for quick lap times. Also braking, and downshifting whilst on turn in has a much bigger effect that it used to on FM4.
Much practice is needed.
Anyway... that'll do for now.

Re: General Discussion
woohoo
even though fp5 was an absolute terd of a game it did set you up for fm6 regards physics. me and gaz were commenting regarding you and how it must be hard going straight from fm4 to fm6. physics are a massive improvement, if you can nail braking you`ll start shaving of many seconds in an instance.
great to see you back on the forum and certainly hope to see you on track soon dan

you`ll love how autocross has moved on as well, more "random" gates, more true to it`s real life inspiration.

Re: General Discussion
Welcome back Dan best way to practice/improve in fm6 is rivals Dan, general multiplayer is a complete waste of time there are some ghost leagues that are better but only if you want to use leader board cars.

Re: General Discussion
Depends on leauge you get classed into Im in elite on last look I've very rarely been bumped and crashed if you don't count the first corner ...but rivials and single player are great for learning the tracks and it slowly moves you up the classes

Re: General Discussion
Cheers guys. I think rivals is the best way to improve, agreed. But the door to door combat of multiplayer is too good to resist, until you enter turn one.
Haven't tried autocross yet, but again, I think that's where a lot of my speed on FM4 came from.
Leaderboard cars! That's blasphemy Gaz.

Re: General Discussion
Feel free to enter any of our lobbies Dan, even without your headset you'd be more than welcome, starting to feel like the blues brothers we're getting the band back together
Re: General Discussion
so 4 or 5 races in the ultimate sport machine league and you really can tell t10 have almost given up. same track rotation with the same shitty rain tracks chucked in (by far the worst ever thing implemented into any forza game!). plus the league races are getting very boring very quick, every variation i`ve raced in there`s always one maybe two cars that can`t be beat
still no full list of multiplayer lobbies, monthly challenges not exactly monthly, sure there`s more but probably getting lost in the mist of disappointment.
yes fm6 is an improvement over crappy fp5 but with t10 seemingly doing less and less i really fear for the future of forza

Re: General Discussion
tried b class lobby tonight, everyone bar one kid in leaderboard cars tuned by well known tuners were useless. kind of fun picking your way through the mess after purposefully pulling over at the start to let the melee ensue only to dive through the aftermath. the leaderboard car racer realised what i was doing and even joined in which was nice actually had a bit of fun dragging him through the traffic with me.
given that most of the incompetent fools were struggling to keep their car on the black stuff down the straights it`s kind of perplexing why they kept voting for rain tracks probably just to piss me off as i called out the lobby as being full of fucking idiots for doing so.
was good mix of cars though which was good to see
